Come and discover the geological secrets of the Daluis Gorges in 3 hikes!
At a spectacular site, where deep canyons are carved into a red rock called pelite and the striking colour of the rocks contrasts with a combination of vegetation and fauna both Mediterranean and Alpine, Les Randos du Géologue will take you on a journey through time and space.
The Regional Nature Reserve of the Gorges de Daluis is the only nature reserve in the Alpes-Maritimes, created in 2012 thanks to an unique partnership between the Community of Communes Alpes d'Azur and the LPO PACA (League for the Protection of Birds).The reserve is particularly well known for its geology and its remarkable mineralogy. Dating back more than 250 million years, these rocks conceal an abundance of minerals such as native copper, as well as 10 new types of minerals discovered at this very site.

Responsible Transportation
Leave your car in the car park and take advantage of our shuttle bus for the trip from Valberg to Guillaumes when visiting the Daluis Gorges Reserve, for a more environmentally friendly means of transport.
It is important that we take into account the environmental aspect of the activities we offer. The goal is to reduce our environmental impact while still enjoying our magnificent mountains.
